I'm having one of those days where I just want to redefine a lot of things. That is now spilling over to this blog, so bear with me for a few paragraphs as I walk you through the process.

Let me begin with an apology. This year I just won't have the time to keep track of WTM stats for the NCAA Top 25 football teams. That will probably disappoint three people around the world.
What I would like to do this year is just keep you informed with regards to my general opinion on the teams, players, and relevant stats that I notice as I dig through box scores and game film. I'm trying expand out into the fundamental side of ... Read More

There's no point in watching that many hours of Mel Kiper and the rest of the "experts" gabbing about college players who for the most part will make no impact on the league at all. I woke up this morning, hopped on-line, and took about half an hour to skim over the results.
That said, here are my thoughts on the subject:
FIRST ROUND:

Alas, I haven’t had time to run WTM numbers for any of the teams in this year’s NCAA Tournament, but with our final two teams slated to square off tomorrow night I’ll throw out a few stats to our faithful readers.

The biggest story yesterday was the absolute whooping that Kansas laid on UNC, at one point taking a 40-12 lead (28 pt High) and remaining on top by a final score of 84-66 (18 pt Close). I haven't read much analysis other ... Read More

TFP is entering its third full season of analysis in 2008 and to mark this achievement we’re looking for some new authors to help contribute. I’m not looking for anything too serious - this won’t be a paying gig until the site actually makes some money - but if you’re willing to volunteer a column [...]
